wAt a Day!!

I was told by a lady (Her name is Rose) in Student Housing Office this afternoon that I hav a HEAVY and BIG parcel in Uni. huh?? I dint know that anyone is going to send me somethin... then first thing come in my mind.. a BOMB!! Mayb im too cute and an anonymous wanna blow me off coz his' or hers jealousy... wuahaha... Then the lady told me that it's too heavy tat probably need the shopping trolly to carry.

My mind totally full wif curiosity and excitement. I was wondering who could it be sending me such a BIG parcel? Anyone wanna gimmi a suprise?????? Thus I push the shopping trolly all the way from my unit to the uni (probably about 500 metres journey). Along the way, I saw many people were looking at me and I knew sure they were thinking "Wat is this gal going to do wif this shopping trolly? Is she going to shop in campus? Isnt market day on Wednesday but today is Monday? Wow, is this gal crazy??" I couldnt bother them too much coz i still thinking who send me the parcel. Erica?? Li Hong?? Daddy?? Seow Pheng?? Hmmm...

*Reached the Facilities Management Office and a man was staring at a cute gal wif a shopping trolly*
Man: Oh, you come to collect ur parcel?
Pat: Yeap
Man: Wat's your name?
Pat: Yeoh Sin Tze or Sin Tze Yeoh
Man: Oh ya, TZE is it? *walked ahead to the store*
Pat: Yeeeapss..*scratching my head*
Man: Here you go..*showing me the parcel*

huh?? wait a minute!!!!
Pat: Tat's not my parcel, its not my name...
    *i saw a name call Ling TZE..somethin..*
Man: Not your name?? hmm.. let me check...
Pat: Geeeiizz.. i think probably they mix up my name wif another people
Man: Yea, i think so.. im so sorry..

Arrrghh... Walao eh!! Like tat oso can mix up! Waste my time n energy nia! Then later I think as I had pushed the trolly whole way long, then I intended to do a good will by offering him that I can help housing to collect the parcel so that owner do not need to push the stupid trolly like wat i did. The man called back to Housing Office to confirm is the owner really exist in housing.

**jijijzhuzhuzhujihzuhu...** (fast forwarding the phone conversation)

After he hang up the phone, he said the housing (I guess will be blurr blurr Rose picked up the phone again) cant find the owner name, so I cant take the parcel to housing and he said sorry again. Haiz...sien nia..

Wat can I do.. just push the bloody empty trolly back again lo... haaizz... While I walked back to housing, I saw Kiki, Bonnie n Vivian walked towards me, n I told them wat happen. Wat a coincident!! The "Ling Tze..somethin" guy is my fren, Jeremy!! *nearly fainted* Yea rite!!

Moral of this lesson:
Tell whoeva wanna send u a parcel write down ur name properly!! Western people's surname write at the back, not same in Msia. So when u wanna send me anythin, write my name as Sin Tze Yeoh, not Yeoh Sin Tze. And pls SPELL it CORRECTLY!!!

A memorable and unforgettable day ^_^

It was Multicultural Day helding in ECU Joondalup Campus. Before that date, 4 of us (actually just me n meiling) were headache of thinking what should we sell. Since it was multicultural, we decided to make something special that hardly found in Aus. We were selling "TANG YUAN" (Glutinous Rice Ball or 汤圆) and ONDE-ONDE (a kind Nyonya kuih). haha... Still remember a night b4 tat day, we worked from 8pm till 6 in the morning, then still hav to wake up on 8am and went whole journey down to Joondalup. Really really tired tat day but was having lots of fun...

We thought we will make lots of money if we sell that, but it's a bit idiotic idea coz we din realise tat actually Aussie don like to eat sweet food, so our food was not so laku.

Guess how much we get??? haha...
Total is.... A delicious Bak Kut Teh as dinner and 8 bucks... wahahaha... not bad...

Think quite a lot for today (so now a bit headahce)... Going to city this afternoon... along the way, i think about this first...:

That day was chatting wif one of my fren, then we brought out this topic:-

TL: why u always show this kind of emotions (those vulgar emotions in msn) one??

PAT: huh!! why i cant??

TL: if u dun put ur display pic ar, cant imagine u r a girl, tot u r a rude guy...

PAT: hey!! u guys ar!!!! y guys can show tat but not gals!!!! really patriarchy idea leh!!!! i hate guys always say gal cannot do somethin tat guys used to do

TL: not cant do la, just don do tat so often...

PAT: then y guys can do tat often but not gals??!!!!

Why guys can simply wooing gals but gals cant? Why guys go to hav sex wheneva they want it's because they hav to, but when gals do tat will be accuse as cheap, shameless or even claim as a whore? Why showing indecent icon is a kind of rude attitude that just guys can do but gals cant?

How pathetic it is! The society has been trying hard to promoting gender equality for the past few decades. As the result, there is nothing changed much. Still, in this world, it is full of images and ideas which are supporting the dominant ideology of masculinity. Look at the advertisement in magazines, females are always represented as highly ideological and as serving to reinforced patriarchy. For an example, females are often depicted as sexual objects for men.

Besides, to be "gentle" and "soft spoken" are the dominant culture norms of feminine appearance. Advertisement provides viewers with images and stereotypes of how to be feminine, and thus succeed at being 'real' female. If you are not gentle enough, you are not considered 'feminine' and are thereby rendered invisible as 'real' female. hmm...yea..!!

Actually, my main point is, showing vulgar emotions in msn is not a gender issue, but manner. Stop saying that it is just boys can show that n gals cannot!!

#2:Culture difference

For nearly 1 yr in Australia, i had discovered that gals in Western are rather confident than gals in Asian. Why i said so.. It is bcoz those so call 'big size' gals still wearing singlet, tubes, low-waist jeans regardless others judgement. Not like ppl in Asian, those "big size" just wear large size T-shirt to try cover up their bodies.

As I mentioned just now, Asian ppl they think they are not considered as 'feminine', so they choose to be invisible or sign up a diet program so they can be one of the ideal female in the society. That is why MaryFrance developed so rapidly and other slimming companies, as well as slimming products are introduced as there are highly demand in the market.

You can just try an experiment, look at those content in mandarin female magazine such as Sister or Trend that available in Msia or female magazines in Hong Kong, there are lots of advertisements about slimming product and even feature articles about slimming. The whole magazine is just about slimming slimming slimming, bloody slimming!! Now look at western magazines such as Cosmopolitan or Marie Claire, they dont promote much about slimming product, but they do talking about dieting, diet not to slim, but to get a healthy lifestyle. I think mayb is the psycology of 'kis-su' in Asian ppl; they scare they cannot fit into the society if they are fat.

Western gals are so confident of what and how they are. In my opinion, those gals are more pretty than those skinny gals or those who think they hav the best fine body figure in the world.

2 weeks ago, was watching Sex and The City: Ex and The City. Carrie tries to be friends wif Mr.Big after parted. But she loses herself when Big tells about his engagement wif another gal. Im getting tired of explaining this. People always think the negative aspect of wat PR is all about, just bcoz of the media represents PR in this way.

They think wat PR work is just a piece full of crappy ideas. Tat's y journalist call PR practitioners as "Spin Doctor", coz PR always spins the public like peg-top (gasing)and fooling them around.

PR is getting more vital in large companies, coz wat PR is to maintain the relationship between an organisation and its public. Hmmm...still sounds like the PRO in nightclub... anyway, wat we do is not selling our boobs and hip, but our idea! The idea which full of strategies to solve problem that the company has met. Our job is more serious than having those entertainment.

Hey folks, im a boring gal...


         I do have lots of frens here, but there's none of them that will hold a very big part in my heart. Ya, i admit, i always just hide in my room, surfing net or chatting wif frens who i miss so much. So it seems like i don 'invest' much in the friendships that i have here. Sorry of being used the word 'invest' to describe friendship, but it's true. Frenship is like an investment. Sometimes you did ur 'research' and ready to truly 'invest' in it, you take ur risk, but it always don turn up as wat you expect for... It's hard to find someone that you can call as a true friend and a friend tat can share ur odds and ends.

        Really miss the memorable moment in New Era College... Even though we had to busy for our studies but we was still very close. Every night we just lay on others lap, watching our favourtie cantonese series and criticize on the celebrities; cook dinner and wait for those who hav to attend evening class then give them a warm welcome when they came back; While having meal, we shared everything that happened on the day, gossiped on others ppl matter; we were just laughing and having fun, the conversation never end... Sometimes we will jump into each others bed n hav gals talk till late nite, or having 'breast attack' game *ooopss...hehe..* Shopping in mall is our major activities, and often shop till our pocket drop..hah..

        It's really a very sweet moment for me.. but this wont happen here anymore...is tat my problem or..?? Nvm, as long as I still hav you guys! Those who always accompany me in msn. Even we are so far apart, I wont forget u all! Those who don online often, I wont forget u as well! You know why?? Coz I really 'invest' a lot in you guys, I don wan to lose you guys as my friend, Im so fortunate to hav you as my friend, it's true!!

         Oh my oh oh my!! They are going to rock my heart AGAIN!! I wait for them to regroup until my neck become like giraffe. It's been 5yrs they din release any new album. Play the album over and over again, their songs are definately better than previous album, from their vocals to musics, n the lyrics too, make the songs even more UUmmmphh!!! I like 'Poster Girl' and 'Incomplete' most.

        I know it sounds like im still the 'innocent' teenage gal always crazy about those cute boyband, but i really cant help myself!! They are really great! Im looking forward for their album to launch... still not sure wanna buy the album in Australia or in M'sia. If i buy it here, sure the price will cost me higher than in M'sia. Otherwise i have to wait until end of this yr and buy it in M'sia.. AaaRrghh.. wat can i do... One more month to go... *_* anyone so kind to buy me one and present it to me???? haha...jus kiddin... i'll DEFINATELY support them!! Buy THEIR ALBUM!!!
